Most days begin with the Wasatch Mountains glowing in the sunrise. Grabbing coffee at Grounds for Coffee or a local drive-thru is a small ritual. Neighbors catch up in line and parents fuel up before the school run.

Many residents commute to Hill Air Force Base or nearby schools and businesses, while plenty work from home with mountain views out the window. For a change of scenery, people bring their laptops to Layton Commons Park, where ducks and kids playing replace city noise.

Lunch is often quick and local: burgers from Crown Burgers, sushi from Osaka, or picnic-style takeout at a nearby park. On sunny days, families spread out on blankets and friends gather under the trees.

Nature is always close by. Some hike the Adams Canyon Trail for a waterfall view, others stroll through Ellison Park or take the dog out at Layton Commons. Quick errands fit right in, with the mall, grocery stores, and shops just around the corner.
